Enrolment Criteria & Process

Students wishing to study at Avonmore must meet the below criteria. For further information please contact a recruitment advisor at the relevant campus. Students must:

  • Have completed high school.
  • 18 Years of age or older.
  • Meet the required level of english and academics as directed by the Avonmore’s International Recruitment Team. English language requirements for each programme are available under Courses for International Students and the programme you wish to study. Details are under the Entry Requirements tab.
  • Meet all immigration and enrolment criteria.

Application forms must be printed, scanned and forwarded to the relevant campus the student wishes to apply to via email.

Process for Applications. All Agents/Education Consultants applying on behalf of students must understand requirements and process of application.

Enrolment Process

  1. Prepare Documentation
    Academics, Passport, IELTS/PTEA & Avonmore Application Form.
  2. Avonmore Issue Offer of Place
    Provided all information and relevant academic requirements provided meet our requirements.
  3. Apply for Student Visa
    If an Offer of Enrolment is received for a student to study at Avonmore, the student will now need to apply to Immigration New Zealand (INZ) for their Student Visa and provide the relevant documentation, with the Offer of Enrolment Avonmore has issued and Evidence of Funds (FTS and Funds).
  4. Visa Approval in Principle (AIP)
    INZ will issue the student, based on documentation provided, an Approval in Principle Visa (AIP).
  5. Tuition Fees
    Upon receiving the AIP the student will be required to pay the provider their tuition fees. When this has been issued Avonmore will then issue a Certificate of Enrolment and Receipt of Payment.
  6. Visa Approval
    A visa will be issued to the student by INZ if all of the requirements are met.
  7. Come to New Zealand
    The student or Agent will need to let Avonmore know about the students flight details. Once the student arrives they will undertake Enrolment and Orientation.
